One of the highlights of my summer was being amongst one of the first to photograph an Aurora at Snow King wedding. I’ve hiked to the top of Snow King several times now, but celebrating a wedding at the top of the mountain was so much fun! The views are stunning (of course) and the guests absolutely loved riding the gondola to the top of the mountain for the day. The cocktail space on the rooftop near the reception space is beautiful. There are so many pockets for gorgeous photos. The photos in the gallery below were captured on film, drone and digital. Interrupting your scroll to bring you some sweet words from my bride. After each wedding, I send out a questionnaire where I love learning more about the intimate details that went into planning the wedding and highlights certain parts of the wedding day from the bride’s point of view. Here is something I loved from Kelsey.
I asked her to describe her wedding day in her own words. She said, “Our wedding was the perfect harmony of western charm and modern elegance, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Tetons. Every detail was intentionally personal, from untraditional ceremony music featuring Coldplay and the Goo Goo Dolls, to our beloved pug serving as ring bearer, to a surprise duet from my father and sister that brought the dance floor to life. When it came to the reception, our vision was to create an atmosphere that felt both welcoming and unforgettable. We wanted the western spirit of Jackson, but paired with an elevated bar, dramatic lighting, and high-energy vibe of a Miami club. Guests were led from cocktail hour to the dance floor by our band in a lively New Orleans–style second line, horns and all, a perfect prelude to a night of laughter and nonstop dancing.
Everyone will have an opinion—smile, nod, and then do exactly what you want. Don’t stress about making it perfect; if it feels like you, it will be.”
