Paige and Nick’s Moose Creek Ranch wedding day was nothing short of stunning. They began the day at Moose Creek Ranch getting ready, headed to their ceremony at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Driggs, and ended the day back at Moose Creek Ranch. It was a beautiful spring day and everything about this day felt so organic and vibrant. Paige and Nick are two incredible people, and I had a blast celebrating with them! Below, you’ll find an inside look at the thought process behind every detail of the wedding day. I hope you find some inspiration and enjoy getting to know more about this intimate, beautiful day.
A Story of Two TSA Agents Falling In Love
Nick and I met working at the Jackson Hole Airport as TSA agents.
He proposed in a town called Gruene, TX, right on the river near the house my family has rented my whole life for summer vacation, it was just him and I, it was really special. It was also my 30th birthday, so we had just seen my whole family the day before, a very wonderful trip.
The Planning Process
I envisioned exactly what we got! Which is crazy to say, I know because nothing hardly ever turns out like you want it to, but it turned out even better. I wanted it to be very family focused, so we booked the venue at Moose Creek Ranch in Victor, ID. Almost everyone stayed on property, we hung out till about midnight after the wedding and even the DJ stayed for 4 hours passed what we paid him haha just because he was also having a good time.
Outdoors, barn, spring colors, vibrant and lots of flowers. I wanted the bridesmaids to pick out colorful dresses, and something that would make them feel beautiful. We had a pizza truck for dinner and assorted desserts. The candles were all handmade and hand decorated by me and the bachelorette party goers, which was so fun and made it feel so homey.
Well, I roasted 100 pounds of coffee for the wedding myself. I work for Jackson Hole roasters in town, and we came up with a special blend for the wedding. I also made my own candles and hand decorated them with the help of my best friends at my bachelorette party. Nick and I also hand drew and hand painted our invitations.
Probably the after party, when everyone, and I mean pretty much every one of our 73 guests stayed until almost midnight, just hanging out, and the DJ stayed as well. It was so organic, people were having so much fun with each other, no one wanted it to end. It wasn’t at all planned that way, and I love that it just happened.
More Details About Paige & Nick’s Moose Creek Ranch Wedding
The flowers, I let them fully have creative control and just said spring colors and whatever is in season, it was so beautiful and I’m not sure exactly what the flowers were but I loved them. My cake was a vintage heart cake that was lavender and lemon flavored, I loved it. I got my wedding dress from the same place in Houston, Texas that my mom and aunt did back in the 80’s. The shop is called Venturas, and the fact that I found it there is so sweet for me. The wedding bolero I wore, was made by a friend of my mom, and I will cherish it forever. My brother and his girlfriend had matchboxes made for Nick and I as well.
It was a beautiful day filled with family, love and laughter. I think what I loved was how many hands went into creating everything for the wedding, how many people that attended that actually helped me make something, that was really special for me.
It sounds cliché, but try not to stress about things you can’t control. Also, I would say, do lots of DIY’s and do them with family, it adds such a sweetness to the day.
