Tucked deep in the Buffalo Valley, Turpin Meadow Ranch feels less like a wedding venue and more like an intentional escape. The kind of place where the pace slows, the landscape takes the lead, and the celebration unfolds over an entire weekend rather than a single day. Couples who choose to have a Turpin Meadow Ranch wedding aren’t just planning a ceremony; they’re inviting their closest people into a shared experience of wide-open meadows, crackling fires, horseback trails, and starlit nights. This Q&A is designed to answer the most common questions couples ask when considering a Turpin Meadow Ranch wedding. If you’re still in the process of assembling your creative team and looking for a photographer to document your weekend at Turpin Meadow Ranch, you’re welcome to reach out through my contact form, linked here.

(Guest count, rental details, and the overall framework of hosting a wedding here)
Weddings at Turpin Meadow Ranch are hosted during two distinct and beautiful seasons. We host them in September, when the valley transitions into early fall, and winter from January through mid-March, when the property becomes a snow-covered retreat.
We have 8 standalone cabins and two larger chalet buildings, which accommodate room for 35-45 guests to stay at the ranch. For outdoor weddings, there is space for up to 100 guests. Winter weddings are limited to 50 guests. Summer buyouts require either 3 nights (Monday–Thursday) or 4 nights (Thursday–Monday). Winter buyouts require a 3-night minimum with more flexibility on booking days.
Turpin Meadow Ranch hosts weddings as exclusive, full-property experiences. A complete buy-out of the ranch is required, including all guest cabins, along with a buy-out fee and daily food and beverage minimums. This ensures the property is fully reserved for your wedding weekend, offering privacy, continuity, and an intentionally curated guest experience.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining 50% is due 60 days before the reservation, at which point the full amount becomes non-refundable.

(Vendors, décor, creative freedom, and what’s provided on site)
All food and beverages come from our restaurant, Trails End Restaurant and Bar.
Couples are open to hiring whoever they would like, but we do have recommendations for them if they’d like.
The couple needs to bring everything in. We do not provide rentals (tents, tables, chairs, etc.). These must be sourced separately, and we recommend Canvas Unlimited. We also require a wedding coordinator to assist with all logistics.
We are quite flexible, and depending on the request, we can move certain things around.
We are on forest service land, so no sparklers or confetti are allowed. However, the couple can use candles as decor in certain spaces.

(Weather plans, amenities, sound, parking, and on-site logistics)
All winter weddings are limited to inside with only 50 guests. Summer outdoor weddings require couples to rent a tent. For weddings with 50 guests and under, we can move them into our lodge if inclement weather arises.
The cabins are the perfect changing areas.
Heating elements for outdoors would need to be rented. We do offer umbrellas if the need arises.
We do offer some AV equipment.
Parking on-site is complimentary. Guests are typically transported via shuttle.
We are licensed to provide alcohol at Turpin Meadow Ranch. As mentioned above, all catering and beverages are provided by our on-site restaurant, Trails End Restaurant and Bar.
