Jackson Hole History Museum Welcome Party

If you’re looking a place to host your Jackson Hole welcome party, check out the new Jackson Hole History Museum rooftop. The views are incredible. The location is amazing. The museum building is situated within a prominent, historic downtown block. The design of the museum struck a delicate balance between contextual and contemporary design. It integrates both the Western character and historic relevance of downtown Jackson alongside a modern museum reflecting Jackson Hole’s present and future.

Payment, Rental Fee, and Vendors

How many people can your location accommodate?

About 130 on the roof deck for cocktail style party, 80 for a seated dinner. For a full Museum rental using multiple spaces upwards of 300 can be accommodated depending on how the space is being used.

What is included in the rental fee?

Full Museum rental is $6,500.

Do you accept payment plans?

We ask for 50% to secure the space and the final payment one week before the event.

What’s your weather backup plan for outdoor spaces?

On the roof deck, we have a canopy that covers a portion of the rood deck space. On the first-floor patio, we have a portion of the space covered. Additional indoor space is the classroom on the second floor, the museum lobby area, and main exhibit.

Do you have an in-house caterer or a list of “preferred” caterers, or does the couple need to provide their own? If there is an in-house caterer, does the couple have the option of using an outside caterer instead?

We do not have a preferred caterer or an in-house caterer; we like to offer the flexibility to the client to bring in whoever they like. We do have a list of vendors who have worked in the space and are familiar with our space.

Can the couple hire their own vendors, or is there a preferred vendor list they need to stick to?

We do not have a preferred vendor list, just a list of vendors who are familiar with our space.

Amenities at the Jackson Hole History Museum

Are tables, linens, chairs, plates, silverware and glassware provided or does the couple need to rent them on their own?

We offer 125 green chairs, and 12 conference style (5ftx2ft) rolling tables. Everything else needs to be brought in.

Can the couple use their own candles/confetti/sparklers/food-trucks?

We do not allow flames of any kind, and we do not allow confetti. Food trucks are allowed in our pull-out on the east side of the building.

Are there changing areas for the bride, groom, and/or wedding party?

While we do not have a designated changing area, clients are welcome to use the museum classroom for this purpose.

Do you provide heating and/or umbrellas for outdoor spaces?

We do not provide heating or umbrellas. However, clients may bring in electric heaters as long as there is no flame.

Do you have a sound system and/or microphones for speeches?

Yes, our sound system has two microphones and can also play a music playlist.

Parking and Alcohol

Is there parking on site and if so, is it complimentary? If not, where will guests park?

There is no parking onsite, however there is a public parking lot across the street from us, street parking in front of the building, and street parking to the east of us.

Are you licensed to provide alcohol service?

No.
