Planning your Celebration for Your Lost Creek Ranch Wedding

The vision, flow, and expectations – perfect for couples early in the process.

Are we required to have a wedding planner?

We recommend couples use a wedding planner to ensure that your event goes smoothly, and you can fully enjoy your special day. Lost Creek Ranch provides a venue coordinator that will assist with coordination of vendors and weekend of planning.

Can we do our rehearsal dinner the day before?

We can gladly accommodate rehearsal dinners, but those must be booked separately or as part of a multi-day rental.

What is the time frame that we will have access to the ranch?

Setup or staging may begin at 12 PM the day before the event and must be removed by 12 PM the day following the event at no additional charge. Additional days for setup/removal may be added at additional charge and will be noted above if already approved. Please confirm with your vendors that a Sunday pickup is possible before booking. We will not make exceptions.

When does our Lost Creek Ranch wedding day have to conclude?

Teton County requires all amplified sound to stop at 9:59 pm. Once the amplified sound ends, guests can say their goodbyes and leave on the shuttles.

What services does Lost Creek Ranch provide?

The wedding pasture rental includes the location for your event. Your planner will need to coordinate vendors to supply everything else you may require. This may include tents, restrooms, furniture, catering, flowers, shuttles, generators, etc. You are welcome to use vendors of your choice to make your day exactly what you envision.

In addition to the wedding pasture rental, and based on availability, we can provide a quote for additional services, including

  • Wagon hay ride
  • Photo opportunities with saddled horses
  • Day use of the Spa facility – including bathrooms, showers, steam room and sauna.

What is your payment structure, and how can payment be submitted?

We require 50% non-refundable deposit due at the time of booking. The balance and a refundable security deposit is due 30 days before the event. We accept most forms of payment, including check, wire or credit card (processing fees may apply for credit cards). For more information, contact Lost Creek Ranch here.

The Lost Creek Ranch Wedding Experience: Horses, Weather & Photography

Are we able to take photos with the horses?

Of course! Around sunset, we will take the newlyweds into the pasture for photos with the horses. For the safety of your guests and our herd, we kindly ask that no guests enter the pasture on their own.

Can you fly a drone over the ranch for wedding photos/video?

GTNP has strict rules against drone use to protect wildlife and preserve the visitor experience. Due to our proximity to the park and potential risk to our horse herd and onsite guest experience, we do now allow drone use. (The drone photo used in this blog post was taken at a different ranch, outside GTNP. Also, important to note, I do have my drone license).

Do you have parking/transportation requirements?

Events are limited to onsite parking spaces usually reserved for vendors. As a result, we require all guests to be brought to the ranch in shuttles provided by outside vendors.

What happens if it rains?

Unfortunately, we do not have alternative covered venues available onsite. We highly recommend tenting and flexibility in your timeline based on weather conditions. We do not provide refunds for weather-related cancellations.

Logistics, Travel and On-Site Requirements

Can our dog participate in our Lost Creek Ranch wedding?

Pets are not allowed at the Ranch due to surrounding livestock and proximity to GTNP. However, if the Bride and Groom wish to bring their personal dog(s) it is acceptable so long as the dog(s) remain leashed for the entire event. Permission for the dog(s) must be included in the contract.

Can we use sparklers or candles?

Candles are permitted but must be contained within a holder or hurricane. Due to fire risk, we do not allow open flames or sparklers. We take special care to keep our wedding pasture free and clear of weeds, so we do not allow seeds tossed during a wedding exit. Options we encourage include – dried floral, glow sticks, paper streamers and bubbles.

Do you have lodging on site?

Onsite lodging is available and offered through the ranch Sunday through Saturday as part of an all-inclusive six-night stay. Please note, lodging is not available on Saturday nights.

Your Lost Creek Ranch Wedding Photographer

When venues, planners, and photographers collaborate closely, the result is a wedding day that feels effortless — even in a wild, beautiful place like Jackson Hole. Working with film requires an added level of preparation — from scouting light to building in buffer time. Doing these things naturally align with ranch venues that value thoughtful planning and experienced vendor teams. For weddings photographed on film, a planner who understands flow and pacing is invaluable. This collaboration ensures the day feels seamless while allowing space for meaningful, unforced moments.
