Venue shopping in Salt Lake City can be a lot of fun because there are literally hundreds of options! There is the perfect ceremony and reception space for every bride. But how to sort through them all? That is where I come in. First, consider your budget. Second, decide whether an indoor or outdoor venue would work best depending on what time of year it is. Third, let’s look at the options! For this blog post, I will briefly highlight three wedding venues for Salt Lake City weddings that you can consider. I also wrote a blog post on five Salt Lake City wedding venues, if you want to check that out for even more options!
Let’s first take a look at Millcreek Inn! Millcreek Inn is an outdoor wedding venue located up Millcreek Canyon. This venue can accommodate 160 guests from May through October and 120 guests from November through April. Millcreek Inn is complete with a charming indoor dining area, an outdoor patio and dining space and lush, secluded grounds. Nestled among the pine trees, you can enjoy an evening celebrating with your loved ones and leave them in awe of the beauty of Millcreek Inn. Pricing varies by month, day, and time. May through October pricing on a Sunday-Friday in the morning would be $1,250 plus a $2,000 food and beverage minimum, as an example. Check out their website here if you’re interested in this gorgeous Utah mountain wedding venue.
This charming wedding venue is exactly that, CHARMING. It’s the cutest. Located on 20 elegant acres at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon, La Caille offers an unmatched experience and atmosphere. The view is amazing. The restaurant, grand pavilion, and gardens all provide beautiful settings for your dinner, ceremony or reception. Take a quiet moment during your big day in the three-acre vineyard and enjoy a canyon breeze on the patio. Your big day will not be forgotten at this gorgeous Salt Lake City wedding venue. If you’re interested in inquiring about this venue, check out their website!
Last but not least is one of my favorites. This is The Place Heritage Park has 11 different venues inside the park. Their website says, “With 11 different venues, there’s something that’s sure to fit every event and every budget. From rustic and elegant to intimate and outdoorsy, we have a venue for you. And don’t worry, our staff is there to help you every step along the way.” This is The Place Heritage Park is such a fun place to host one of the biggest events of your life! I really love the environment of this park and venue.
Choosing a wedding planner may be one of the most important decisions you make when it comes to choosing your vendors. If your budget allows for it, there’s no substitution for working with a professional and experienced wedding planner. Finding a good personality match and someone who makes you feel seen and heard and understands your vision for your wedding day is so important when looking for a planner. Every planner has a different design aesthetic, so it’s important that you like the overall look of the weddings that they have designed in the past. Below is more information about wedding planners in Utah that have designed gorgeous Salt Lake City weddings.
I wrote a blog post which includes a Q+A with Salt Lake City Wedding Planner Brooke Johnson of Saguaro Roots Event Co. She was so kind to spend some time answering frequently asked questions that engaged couples run into. I hope that post is helpful if you’re looking for a wedding planner available for your Salt Lake City wedding.

Nannette York Floral and Decor is a wizard when it comes to wedding florals. She grew up in the foothills of Utah’s beautiful Rocky Mountains and from an early age, her father taught her the names of each and every wildflower that they would discover on the many hikes that they took together. Nannette loves the variations in color and texture that are found in nature, and her designs reflect that love and inspiration. She also has a passion for gardening and believes in protecting and maintaining our beautiful Earth through the use of sustainable gardening methods. Whenever possible, Nannette likes to encourage her clients to embrace the seasons and incorporate seasonally available foliage and blooms into the designs that she creates for them. Nanette York Floral is based out of Orem but can happily provide floral design services for Salt Lake County and the surrounding areas.
Marianne at Mille Fleur Design creates one-of-a-kind floral compositions for each of life’s experiences. Her work is stunning. Marianne creates stunning florals for weddings and other events, including bridal bouquets, corsages, flower crowns, arches, centerpieces, wedding cake florals, and floral arrangements that span the creative spectrum from classic to casual, corporate to boho, fantasy to contemporary and mountainside to beachside. She believes that nature consists of unique, one of a kind, and stunningly beautiful creations. Like the mille fleur (“thousand flower”) tapestries from the 15th century, sumptuous florals provide the background to life’s most important events!
Fresh Stems Floral was established in 2008 and is a floral genius. Her work is beautiful and modern, yet different and unique. Check out her Instagram for more of her gorgeous work!
What is a wedding without amazing food and dessert?! Make it aesthetically beautiful and your guests will be happy as can be. This is one of the main reasons that I love Salt Lake City weddings. The food can be out of this world, if you find the right caterers. I do realize that a lot of wedding venues require you to use their food services, which can be annoying. If you find a venue that allows you to use outside catering, then this list will be perfect for you.
My first recommendation for a caterer for your Salt Lake City wedding is Lux Catering and Events. You’ve been fantasizing about your wedding day for as long as you can remember. Lux takes a boutique approach to your wedding catering and loves helping couples create the most amazing day of their lives, with the people they care about most. Now that it’s finally here, you deserve for your wedding to be perfect in every way. The planning process begins with a consultation where Lux takes the time to get to know you both, and focus all of their attention on perfecting your vision for the day, and every detail that is important to you. Your wedding consultation can happen either virtually, or at our space just south of downtown Salt Lake City. From there, they collaborate with our teams to prepare a unique and wedding catering menu to perfectly fit you and your partner.

Have Party Will Travel is a full service catering and events company, founded in 1995. Entrepreneurial team, Julie and Jeff Palmer, envisioned a new approach to catering. Utilizing unique resources, like their custom-built mobile kitchen, they can produce events at any location. Freshly prepared menu items can be delivered, made from their state of the art on site kitchen, to any venue along the Wasatch Front, and often even further. Have Party Will Travel offers the best tasting food, prepared from scratch. Under the helm of their Executive Chef, their culinary team starts with the freshest local ingredients, using carefully tested and taste approved recipes, which I love. Check out their website for more details!

Alpine offers various options to best fit your needs from delivery to pick up. They cover it all so you can focus on the most important thing, enjoying your event. Alpine Event Co. works with clients who have a range of budgets for their event. Keep things simple and pick things up at their warehouse or they can deliver them to your doorstep. They can help you create, design, and print anything and everything you need for your event. Alpine even does custom letterpress using traditional methods and machinery. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing their rentals in action and I can attest to the high quality of their items.
Evermore Vintage Rentals catch my eye every single time. Their rentals are INCREDIBLE, unique and timeless, and obviously vintage. The details are beautiful and adds some character to your wedding day. They serve Northern Utah, Davis County, Salt Lake County and surrounding areas.
If you’d rather not stress about buying a wedding dress and would rather rent one, enter Bridal Brilliance Rentals. Renting a dress removes the post-wedding cleanup headache, air-tight storage, never wearing your dress again, and also cutting back on carbon pollution. If renting is your jam, check out this shop located in Salt Lake.
After all, an investment into wedding photography is more important than most think. As the chaos of the big day subsides and the guests have all left, your wedding cake has been eaten, your flowers and greenery have wilted, and you’ve stored away your dress, the photographs are all that will remain for generations to come. Your story through the photographs are worth the investment. I would love to photograph your big day so let’s chat about any questions that you have! Enjoy these bridal photos I took at the Capitol in Salt Lake before a Salt Lake City wedding 🙂
