Their website is linked here and has more specific information, such as pricing.

  2. Do you accept payment plans?
    • All events at Deer Valley Resort require a 25% deposit at the time of contract signing as well as 75% deposit 30 days prior to the event. The deposit amounts are based on the minimum event spend negotiated on the contract. We are willing to work with clients on the deposit structure if needed.

Vendors

  1. Do you have an in-house caterer or a list of “preferred” caterers, or does the couple need to provide their own? If there is an in-house caterer, does the couple have the option of using an outside caterer instead?
    • Deer Valley is proud to have an award-winning culinary team in house to service all events. We do not allow outside caterers or alcohol to be brought to our venues. The only exception is a wedding cake, which would be subject to a cutting fee.
  2. Can the couple hire their own vendors or is there a preferred vendor list they need to stick to?
    • We love meeting new local vendors! Deer Valley is glad to offer a referral list to our clients for Deer Valley weddings, which gives them a great place to know some of our favorite vendors. All Deer Valley Resort venues require that each wedding has a planner or coordinator at least one month prior to their event.

Amenities At Deer Valley Resort

  1. Are tables, linens, chairs, plates, silverware and glassware provided or does the couple need to rent them on their own?
    • All Deer Valley Resort venues offer 60” or 72” round tables, leather chairs, white china, silverware and glassware as part of the venue.
  2. Do you have an inventory of decor that can be borrowed from?
    • Unfortunately, Deer Valley Resort do not offer an inventory of decor that can be borrowed. We do have some great recommendations for local vendors that have a wide variety of items.
  3. Can things be moved around, or is everything supposed to stay as is?
    • Deer Valley Resort works with each couple and their planner 30 days prior to their event to make sure that the venue is set up for the needs of that event. We can move almost all our furniture pieces and allow for outside furniture to be brought into the venues.
  4. Can the couple use their own candles/confetti/sparklers/food-trucks?
    • Deer Valley Resort allows for real candles on the tables but ask for flameless candles on any service above guest height. Sparkler sendoffs are allowed at all venues, if we are not under a burn ban. Confetti or other toss items for post ceremony or send-offs must be biodegradable. Food trucks are not allowed, all food (excluding wedding cakes) needs to be provided by Deer Valley Resort.
  5. Are there changing areas for the bride, groom, and/or wedding party?
    • Silver Lake Lodge, Empire Canyon Lodge and The Goldener Hirsch are all able to offer changing areas for the bride, groom and wedding party. While Silver Lake Lodge and Empire Canyon Lodge do not have space that is suitable for the ladies to have their hair and makeup done during the day, Goldener Hirsch does have that amenity.
  6. Do you provide heating and/or umbrellas for outdoor spaces?
    • Unfortunately, Deer Valley Resort does not offer heaters or umbrellas for our ceremony sites. Our great decks, patios and courtyards do offer large umbrellas. We do allow heaters to be brought in and can suggest local vendors that offer a full array of options.
  7. Do you have a sound system and/or microphones for speeches?
    • All our event packages have a ceremony sound package included which includes speakers with stands, audio mixer, reader microphone, wireless microphones and a technician for 2 hours. Additional sound items are available for rental from Wasatch AV for the reception or most DJs or Bands offer those services for the evening.
  8. What’s your weather backup plan for outdoor spaces?
    • Silver Lake Lodge, The Goldener Hirsch, and Empire Canyon Lodge all have indoor ceremony options for the backup weather plan. The weather plan gets discussed three days prior to the event and then the final call gets made on the morning of the wedding.

Parking & Alcohol

  1. Is there parking on site and if so, is it complimentary? If not, where will guests park?
    • Each of our venues offers a different parking option and/or allows for outside transportation to be arranged by the couple. Silver Lake Lodge has a complimentary underground garage. The Goldener Hirsch has valet parking which is included in the package pricing. Empire Canyon Lodge requires valet parking or shuttles arranged by the couple; valet parking is included in the package pricing.
  2. Are you licensed to provide alcohol service for Deer Valley weddings?
    • Deer Valley Resort is licensed to serve alcohol. Alcohol is not included in any of our package pricing and is charged on consumption. We work with each couple to build the bar that works for them.
