Jackson Hole is one of those rare places where “venue” isn’t just a backdrop—it’s part of the story. From refined mountain hotels with five-star service to storied ranches where history lingers in the wood beams, couples come here not just to get married but to gather with intention. Whether you’re drawn to alpine elegance, Western heritage, art-forward architecture, or wide-open horse pastures under big Wyoming skies, Jackson offers a spectrum of wedding venues that feel both deeply rooted and quietly luxurious. Below, I’m sharing five of the most distinctive venues in the valley—each wildly different, each unforgettable in its own way, and each ideal for couples who value experience, atmosphere, and timeless design over trends. I love the variety that comes with a Snow King wedding. I’ve photographed weddings at their newest venue on the summit, as well as on their Event Lawn. No matter the season, a mountainside or mountaintop wedding at Jackson Hole’s oldest ski resort is pure magic. Whether you’re looking for an outdoor celebration with panoramic views of the Teton Mountains or a cozy ceremony in their Fireside Lounge, Snow King Resort’s wedding venues are among the best Jackson Hole has to offer. Their outdoor Event Lawn, where up to 300 guests can celebrate, is a four-season venue that brides and grooms can transform into a stunning space for cocktail hours, receptions, and ceremonies. With breathtaking views of the Teton Mountains, the lawn is perfect for whatever vision you might have for your mountain wedding. Its position relative to the resort makes it an excellent option in Jackson Hole for brides and grooms looking for an outdoor venue with easy proximity to the comfort of resort amenities.
Their indoor venues offer their own share of spectacular Teton views and cozy mountainside vibes. Choose from their intimate Fireside Lounge, the Grand Teton Ballroom, or their Grand View Ballroom, which offers sweeping floor-to-ceiling views of the Tetons and can host up to 200 guests. Their ski-in, ski-out location and the resort’s proximity to historic downtown make Snow King a convenient and enjoyable option to give guests the opportunity to enjoy every minute of their time in Jackson Hole. For a more in-depth look at a real wedding I’ve photographed at Aurora at Snow King (their summit venue), check out the blog post linked above.

Second on the list is The National Museum of Wildlife Art. If you’re looking for a unique wedding venue close to Jackson Hole, this is it! The National Museum of Wildlife Art is situated on a dramatic cliff overlooking the National Elk Refuge. This venue provides both indoor and outdoor venue space. Pike and Susan Sullivan Hall is a beautiful lobby, serving as a breathtaking backdrop for both small and large receptions. With seating for 130 or standing room for 500, this multipurpose space opens onto the Sculpture Trail Terrace, which provides additional mingling space. The terrace can be combined with other museum spaces, affording your guests the most spectacular views of the National Elk Refuge, Gros Ventre Range and Sleeping Indian Mountain. Out of all the Jackson Hole wedding venues, I truly love how unique this one is.
Hotel Yellowstone has some of my most favorite views of the Tetons. This venue is ideal for couples planning an intimate, smaller wedding that feels personal, authentic, and effortlessly elegant. There are no traditional private event spaces on their property; however, select outdoor areas may be available seasonally for small ceremonies depending on preferred dates and your vision. A full hotel buyout may be required. The hotel’s maximum occupancy is 72 adult guests, though event capacities may vary depending on the style and setup. Hotel Yellowstone property, accommodations, the Spa, Olivia’s Restaurant, and all amenities are for registered hotel guests only. No outside guests are allowed. All guests attending on-site events must be registered hotel guests. This venue is absolutely stunning.
Another venue with several gorgeous ceremony locations that I’ve had the privilege of photographing at. The proximity to Teton Village is convenient, and with groves of aspen trees and views of the Grand Tetons, you really can’t go wrong. At Johnson 40, guests cross the wooden bridge from the ceremony site to the reception area, where they walk alongside Lake Creek. The walk ends with a grand reveal of the reception area in a beautiful meadow. For a more in-depth look at a Giltner wedding, check out this blog post.
The Sewell venue has a meadow bordered by beautiful river bottom cottonwoods and aspens, providing spectacular views of the Grand Tetons and Gros Ventre Mountains. The Sewell can accommodate groups of up to 300 guests. The last venue I’ll mention in this blog post as a part of Snake River Ranch (although not their last venue in real life) is Gray Barn. If you’re looking for more western vibes, this is your spot. With the most epic horse release I’ve ever seen, Gray Barn is one of the most iconic barns in the valley. The view from the Barn overlooks a gorgeous meadow and Grand Teton National Park. You can bring guests to the site by horse-drawn wagon or on horseback if you prefer, or just by shuttle. I cannot say enough good things about Snake River Ranch!

A cozy lounge area at the Giltner venue!

A gorgeous wedding and reception at Giltner.
Trail Creek Ranch is another ranch I’ve photographed many times. Tucked into the mountains so beautifully, you would never know you were only minutes from the town of Wilson or the bustling hub of Jackson. If you’re looking for 270 acres of pure Wyoming beauty to serve as the backdrop for your wedding, this is the spot. There are several locations on the ranch for your ceremony, depending on the size of your event. Check out this blog post that I wrote all about Trail Creek Ranch weddings.

However you choose to celebrate, whether tucked into a luxury hotel, beneath the Tetons at a working ranch, or surrounded by art, history, or alpine air — the most meaningful weddings in Jackson Hole are the ones that feel unhurried and deeply personal. The right venue creates space for real moments to unfold, and those moments deserve to be documented with the same care and intention. My approach blends film and digital photography to preserve the texture, light, and emotion of the day in a way that feels timeless rather than trendy. If you’re in the early stages of planning and imagining what your wedding could look like in Jackson, I’d love to help you think through venues, timelines, and how to photograph your celebration beautifully—wherever you land. Fill out the form on my website, and I’ll create a custom proposal for your wedding weekend.
